The villagers were part of the resistance againstforcible takeover of land to build an SEZ. At the time of writing this mail, the confirmed death toll is seven,unconfirmed reports put it even higher. The number ofcritically injured people is also high. The injuredare not getting proper hospitalisation as CPM cadresand the police has blockaded the entire area.
