JKLF call for General Strike on Thuesday

Three day hunger strike from 6 th feberuary

Against the genocide of Kashimiri's by Indian forces.

Peace process and killing of innocent kashmiris cannot go together andthe recent discoveriesAbout the killings of innocent kashmiris by Indian forces and dubbingthem as foreign militants is not acceptable.

This was stated by JAMMUKASHMIR LIBERATION FRONT Chairman Mohammed Yasin Malik in a pressconference in Srinager today.

Giving the details about the innocentkillings of kashmiris especially the sad killings of about 12 peoplefrom kokernag by Indian forces and task force, yasin said that Indiaand Pakistan while thinking of their own interests should also takeinto consideration the interests of kashmiris, how can peace processand this genocide of kashmiris go together?.

Yasin said that Indianprime minister had announced zero tolerance against human rightsviolations but the ground situation in jammu Kashmir tells theopposite story. Yasin announced his programme against these atrocitiesand said that jammu and Kashmir will observe a one day total strike onTuesday the 6th.

Feberuary 2007. Against these human rights abuses andgenocide of kashmiris. Yasin announced that he along with hundreds ofothers will observe a three day hunger strike from 6th feberuary 07.to 8th feberuary 2007 against these killings etc. also on Monday the5th feberuary 2007 a protest jalsa will be held in kokernagh Islamabad.

Yasin malik also showed concern about about 60000 jail releasedpeople who are constantly been threatened by police and otheragencies. Yasin said that theses things are pushing theses releasedpeople to the wall and this situation is highly condemnable.

Yasinsaid that JKLF is supporting the peace process between India andPakistan but this process should show some change on the ground inKashmir.

Yasin hoped that Indian prime minister will himself interveneand his orders of zero tolerance would be implemented on ground.Earlier on Friday 2nd of feberuary 2007 yasin malik visited kokernagh.he led a protest march against these recent extra judicial innocentkillings.

Yasin met the bereaved families there.yasin announced thatif this human rights abuse in Kashmir is not stopped he will sit on ahunger strike unto death.
